Flagstaff, AZ Upgrades school flashers with STC time clocks

TEMPE, AZ - 06/18/2007 - The city of Flagstaff recently upgraded all of its school flasher systems with the STC-01 time clock. The city was having issues with some of its existing clocks and after experimenting with an STC unit, selected the STC-01 as the replacement. STC furnished all the units with a compatible connector/harness that allowed a quick replacement of the old clocks using their existing wiring harnesses. City personnel found the changeover simple. The new clocks cost approximately one-third less than replacements for the existing clocks.

Furthermore, the city opted to purchase an STC-01 Desktop Programmer kit (STC-01DTP) with one memory chip. The STC-01DTP allows the user to program a school schedule into the desktop clock - an AC-powered version of the field clock - and upload it to a memory chip. The chip can be taken to the field, inserted into the field clocks, and copied to their memory. This saves time as field technicians need not program any of the units by hand. It also alleviates the need to drag a laptop to the field along with any special cables or software specific to programming the clock.
