STC supplies additional solar-powered school zone flashers for Nampa, ID

TEMPE, AZ - 03/04/2010 - Solar Traffic Controls (STC) has furnished additional solar-powered school zone flashing beacon systems for Nampa, Idaho. The City of Nampa added 10 units to their inventory in 2009 and six more in the first quarter of 2010.

The city originally obtained six school zone flashers from STC in 2004, and has been pleased with the benefits of traffic calming which STC products achieve around school zones.

Each pole in the system included dual 8-inch amber flashing beacons with DC LED inserts Model STC-4920. STC has worked closely with McCain Traffic's northwest sales office in this project for years.
