The weather agencies also have early indications of a moderate El Niño winter for the western U.S.

The Southwest has experienced a hazardous monsoon season in 2012 with frequent incidences of stream and wash flooding which have required swift water rescues of trapped motorists. Prepare for these emergencies by installing a Solar Traffic Controls high water warning system at unbridged crossings.

STC systems are available:

  • with 2-way text messaging controls

  • with a sensor station capable of sending a high-water alarm (you can text your flashing beacons on/off or receive an alarm if there's a fault)

  • with flashing beacons in amber or red

  • with sensors and sensor stations

  • monitoring and remote control/alarm
