El Mirage upgrades school flashers with STC-01 time clocks

TEMPE, AZ - 08/24/2007 - Just in time for the new school year, the City of El Mirage, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona, upgraded its school flashers with STC-01 time clocks. El Mirage already had several school flashers within its community. Two years ago, the city received two Solar Traffic Controls (STC) school flashers as part of a school building project.

Both flasher units were equipped with STC-01 time clocks which city personnel were able to examine and compare against the time clocks in their existing school flashers. The city sought to standardize all their time clocks and selected the STC-01 over other brands. STC was able configure the new time clocks with harnesses to mate into the existing clock wiring thus expediting the installation process.

The STC-01 time clock offers a compact package with up to six activation periods per normal school day; three per alternate schedule day; up to 16 holiday skip periods and up to 12 alternate schedule periods. It features a 4-line by 12-character LCD display and the ability to program units simply by passing a memory chip from unit to unit.
